Jason grew up in Katy, Texas, graduated from TCU in 2000, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005 and San Antonio Military Medical Center Emergency Medicine Residency in 2008. The Army brought Jason to Temple, and besides 2 deployments to Iraq, he has been an active member of our central Texas community since 2008. While deployed, Jason served our soldiers as a brigade surgeon at small combat outposts near Baghdad, Iraq. While at home, Jason managed the CRDAMC Emergency Department and served as faculty in the emergency medicine residency where he continues to mentor emergency medicine physicians to this day. Jason has long found teaching optimal performance in life-and-death situations rewarding but has actually found his greatest joy in mentoring young physicians towards fulfillment in life outside of the ER. Jason opened PremiER ER & Urgent Care in Temple, Texas in 2016 and continues to be the medical director today. At Premier ER and Urgent Care, Jason has had the opportunity to treat thousands of our central Texas neighbors in their time of greatest need but also has recognized a need for greater access to proactive healthcare. Jason is excited to begin this new chapter in his career at Optimal Concierge Medicine, focused on extending healthspan not simply lifespan. A lifelong adventure sports enthusiast, Jason, now in his mid-40’s, is dedicated to maintaining peak performance in hobby, family & profession. Jason has lived & epitomized healthspan: doing what we want, as long as we want!
